The new terminal 1 is just amazing, too much Harvey Milk though
Fine airport car rental return easy .. security good. No complaints
For as much hate as San Francisco International Airport gets, it's honestly not that bad. The Bay Area is over populated, so you have to factor that in. The construction here takes forever, but oh well. What can you do? If you don't want to wait for fog delays, flying into Oakland is always an option. Nevertheless, I'll be back again.
Staff & Security kept the lines moving, no problems. It was quick. Easy to follow signs.
Sad but it was peaceful at the airport... as you can see there was no one around. So odd to not see the normal hustle and bustle of people everywhere. At least no one freaking out as I see so often in retail places these days. Everyone is chill.
Always pretty nice nowadays. I was just passing through.
Went today to drop off family. Very empty. Parking is still expensive. Some areas of the airport seemed closed, so it might be good to ask security the best way to the airline desk to check in.
Really nice airport. The renovations are very modern and nice. Really nice sitting areas and the gates are easy to find. Plenty of bathrooms and a few restaurants to choose from. The terminals are spacious and extremely easy to maneuver around.
Poor signage for rental cars and for gates. Very confusing. Airport nice though
Directions are easy to find, and the layout is great! The area designated for ride share pickup/dropoff is situated well, and there's covered seating outside. Lots of good options for food, as well! Tried Filipino food for the 1st time, and was glad I did.
Clean and efficient. Staff there is very helpful
SFO is like any other international airport. If you are passing through, remember; this airport is not "in" San Francisco. Its South and near "industrial" area. No "city lights" Covid has everything closed but they have the normal array of food /shopping choices. I like that while driving, its easy to get to the area that you need to be in, as the signage is good!
Not too bad needs clearer signage at gates
Easy access via 280 and 880. Almost unlimited stopping at the arrival gated during COVID times.
The entire airport is quickly being modernized and obviously given a fresh new lease on life, however that simple statement does not seem to encompass the experience as a whole. Post covid SFO travel consists of about a 95% reduction in food services within the terminals, leaving little to no choices for food, rather than snacks, while past security.
Oh San Francisco, most beautiful town of the world, when/if that man has finally left the White House, I'll be coming to visit you at last and will be landing right here. I can't wait!
Huge and confusing monstrosity of an airport, but there are info kiosks and help desks scattered about. Make sure to pay attention to which level you're on when finding your way out (arrivals)... Turns out actually knowing which level/floor/segment of the airport that you're in is really helpful when finding your ride or your Uber or whatever haha. Somehow I made it all the way to Arrivals before I realized it was a multi-storied international airport.
I enjoyed my stay here! Everything is clean. You have lots of shopping and food possibilities.
Very clean and modern. Great lounging seats. Most of the restaurants and coffee spots are closed due to covid. But a plus is that it's still quiet and very few travelers.
Practically empty. Most stores closed. Fast baggage.
The airport is great but the United Polaris lounge for international was closed and I had an 8 hour layover. Thankfully there was another one open (the only one, I believe). Very limited offering, but better than nothing.
Empty. Lots of room to keep your distance during the pandemic. Many restaurants closed, but had a great lunch at the Farm Market.
I have been to a lot of airports and can honestly say I've never had a more pleasant experience than at San Francisco Airport. After a 13hr flight with an 8hr layover I was not looking forward to going through the line and waiting you get at every airport's customs. However, the staff at the airport were so upbeat and just fantastic, they were helpful, friendly and just made my whole experience at the airport and my day in general so much better.
I Flew into the San Francisco International Airport from TelAviv, Israel. After Clearing Customs; I was on the Inaugural Flight to Spokane, WA.I received an Inaugural Pin and had my picture taken with the other passengers, before boarding. The Airport was just Beautiful; Clean; Brightly Lit and Not Busy at All. Customs Even Said: "Welcome Home!'
American Airlines Crew from Charlotte to Sfo landed at 6:45pm Thank u Mark Muller & The Rest of The Flight Attendants Was Just as Awesome. Thank u to The Gentleman who pushed Me from the gate to #3 luggage pick up. Thank for fast efficient customer service. Joann Corgile🛬💞
Well laid out with memorable statues and art. Getting where you need to is a breeze and there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and relax. There's plenty of charm to this large airport.
Very easy to navigate and the ride shares allow you to go into the city if you have an extended layover
This place was great for the 4 hours I was there waiting for my next flight. Id go here again for a layover
One of the clean and organized airports I have seen. Staff are friendly and helpful, both outside the security and inside and at immigration and customs. Good food choices after the security checking, not much variety outside though (only problem when dropping off and want to have a meal with them). Parking, train service, drop off and pick up ease.
With the wonderful addition to the Harvey milk international terminal I have to say hands down San Francisco is one of my personal favorite airports. And during these trying times they have kept the airport clean and the only thing I have to say is having a little bit more food choices available for people who are waiting. But other than that I definitely give this airport an 8 out of 10.
Well, uncrowded. No lines. But no Admiral's Club. Lots of COVID fear unlike Texas and South Dakota.
One of the easier airports to navigate. Getting from long term parking to the airport is efficient. Lots of dining options within the terminals.
A bit quite here, limited food services with some of my preferred coffee shops temporarily closed. If you enjoy sudo tranquility at the airport then this is your speed.
Clean, well laid out. Easy to find gates.
Best airport as far as airports go. There are so many food options here, you can never try everything. Airport quality is very good, with transportation around the airport, great cleanliness, and exceptional architecture. Comic Con ads around the airport made it feel very cool also. San Francisco is one you will feel great flying in to.
Remodel is really good and much needed. They did a great job. Restrooms are efficient and clean. Even though its Covid times, pretty busy overall. Still lots of travel happening. Parking is a mess but what are your choices.
So far my favorite airport to transfer inside of USA. Always clean and a simple layout. Design isn't dull and grey unlike other American Airports.
Awesome travel with so few flights and passengers. Staff is always kind and helpful. It is a pleasure to come home via SFO.
COVID implementations very strong. Did not have as many concerns as airport I departed from (DIA)
This airport is the gateway to the world. The food court has a variety of food. Since it is the first entry of America, the immigration and customs people are very friendly. I gave this place 5 stars I have many happy memories from this airport to the world. So we're my parents, friends and relatives.
It's pretty dead dropping off daughter 5/20/20. No security walking around to kick u out of departures drop-off area, parked there almost 30mins, no problem.
New Southwest Airlines Terminal 1 is the Harvey Milk Terminal, great presentation of the History of the Gay Rights Movement and lots of cool retro furniture. Plenty of seating in comfy seats.
One of the best airports i have visited so far , formed as O which makes the terminals very close each other and walkable in a short time .I spent 3 hours layover and i enjoyed though i was very exhausted due international flight.
Friendly staff, accessible train ride around airport facilities highway leading to airport was easier than others
San Francisco International Airport is one of the main airports in the Bay Area, where flight arrive domestically and internationally! I have been to SFO Airport in the past when traveling to places! Spacious and tidy! Helpful staffs! Varieties of foods and services! Wonderful atmosphere! Great airport!👍
Love that there is a tram to and from the rental car center. A nice Skyclub for Delta FF.
Reasonable personal spacing. Everyone masked. Very few food options
It was very quiet, clean , and people following the distancing rules which is good. Mask on is required all the times while on premicess.
Seems ok, not much going on very few people inside airport and many shops still closed. I will be nice and give 5 stars but hopefully on my next visit after everything is up and running, I will confirm my 5 stars or adjust due to my experience under normal operation.
Great social distancing, everything flowed smoothly and with ease. No food or drink services open yet. Masks were worn. I felt safe. It was very clean.
